The Canadian International School of Phnom Penh (CIS) main campus is defined by its striking architectural envelope, featuring large-span overhangs, prominent round concrete pilotis/columns, and dynamic red and grey facade cladding. Because exterior aluminum composite panels (Alucobond) and ground-level round concrete columns endure intense solar radiation, thermal movement, and physical contact, they required an industrial-grade finish far exceeding standard decorative acrylics. Kontech supplied a coordinated Jotun package bridging premium architectural emulsions with high-durability epoxy-polyurethane protective systems.

The project combines Jotun exterior weather-defense systems (Jotashield Primer and Jotashield Antifade Colours) with washable interior classroom finishes (Essence Easy Primer and Essence Easy Clean SG). For the round concrete columns, exterior aluminum facades, and Alucobond composite panels, a heavy-duty industrial system was applied using Jotamastic 90 epoxy tie-coat and Hardtop XP aliphatic polyurethane in custom Grey and signature Red (RAL 3020).

A scrub-resistant, washable interior emulsion with a durable semi-gloss finish. Enables quick cleaning of hand smudges, stains, and scuff marks in busy student corridors and active classrooms without compromising the paint film.
